About this course

This course will give you a comprehensive foundation in 3D modelling, texturing and lighting inside Maya, so it’s perfect for aspiring 3D artists looking to kick-start their career in the Animation and visual effects (VFX) industry.  You’ll learn real-world VFX production skills and best practice techniques, and gain Maya training – for the best possible start to reaching your dream career in VFX. An opportunity to study part-time where you will learn all the basics, you'll get to produce a piece for your showreel. Best of all, it will fit around other commitments or your college timings.

What to expect

Autodesk Maya is used to create everything from the fantastic effects you see in Hollywood movies to the animation in major games. Through step-by- step training and genuine production examples, we’ll introduce you to Maya’s capability, workflows and interface, as well as the key 3D techniques you’ll need to become a 3D professional.

After completing 3D Foundation, you’ll be eligible to advance your 3D skills and enroll on our 3D for Visual Effects (VFX) course.
